F1 Race-Used Part for Sale Item: Right Carbon Barge Board
The Right Carbon Barge Board Sauber C21 is a precision-engineered aerodynamic device specifically designed for the right-hand side of the Sauber C21 chassis. Manufactured from autoclave-cured carbon fiber composite, it features optimized curvature and surface profiling to control vortical structures and guide turbulent wake away from the underfloor and sidepod inlets. This minimizes flow separation, improves pressure distribution, and enhances the efficiency of the diffuser and rear wing. Its lightweight construction ensures maximum rigidity with minimal mass, contributing to overall weight balance and aerodynamic stability during high-speed cornering.
This particular component was also part of the car’s livery during the final three Grands Prix of the 2002 season (Italy, United States, and Japan), when Sauber carried the “STOP-AIDS” message in collaboration with UNAIDS and UNDP to raise awareness about the global fight against HIV/AIDS.
