Item: New Crankshaft Arrows T2-F1 (Hart 1030) V10
Car/Engine: Arrows A19
In the 1998 Formula 1 season, Arrows entered the A19 chassis powered by a rebadged Hart 1030 V10 engine under the name Arrows T2‑F1.
The Hart 1030 was a 3.0‑litre naturally aspirated V10, with a 72° V‑angle, producing in the order of 700 hp at around 15,000 rpm.
At the core of this engine lay its crankshaft, a highly stressed component designed to convert the up‑and‑down (reciprocating) motion of the pistons into a smooth and high‑speed rotational force. Because of the V10 layout and the high rev ceiling, the crankshaft had to be carefully forged from high‑strength alloys, precisely balanced, and engineered to withstand tremendous torsional stresses, vibration, and fatigue over a race distance.
