Description of the original vehicle:
In 1954, a special and unique hand-made vehicle came out of the workshops of Daimler-Benz - the Mercedes-Benz racing car transporter. With its dark blue Daimler-Benz paintwork, the soft curves of its body and its top speed of 170 km/h, it fascinated as much as the W196 and 300 SLR racing cars on the cargo bed.
After Daimler-Benz retired from Formula 1 racing at the end of 1955, this vehicle disappeared from public view. Unfortunately, the original was scrapped in 1967.
In the early 1990s, Daimler-Benz brought this treasure back to life. Under the direction of the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center, a replica of the original was built, bringing this unique vehicle back to life.
To mark the occasion of Mercedes-Benz's 100th anniversary in 2001, the racing car hauler was presented to enthusiastic audiences at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the south of England.
Mint condition, complete with accessories, with box (very slightly soiled)
